  Best yellow fat biltong in the area. Their ginger beer is also amazing, and don't forget to get a pack of delicious koeksisters for the road as well. A must stop when traveling between Bloem and Jhb.

  If you are ever on the highway between Bloemfontein and Johannesburg then Ventersburg is where you stop and go and visit the Fat Butcher. They always make a plan to serve anybody. Authentic yellow fat biltong that you can not easily find anywhere else in South Africa. Lovely fun fudge made from interesting stuff... even Amarula cream! If you have stopped there once you will do so again and again

  What a gem - on the N1, opposite the entrance to Ventersburg, behind the Caltex Garage. The most delicious oxtail and Springbok pies ever!
